Meet Finn and Furgus (aka The Burger), our West Highland Terriers who frequent the office. For those that love dogs, they add a wonderful level of comfort during your treatment. They will sit on your lap during your session and make for a great “what, I’m done already?”
Dogs make excellent therapy companions for individuals undergoing Deep TMS™ because they provide emotional, psychological, and even physiological benefits that complement the treatment process. Here’s why dogs are especially well-suited for this role:
• Calming Presence
• Emotional Support During Treatment
• Proven Health Benefits
• Distraction from Clinical Environment
• Routine and Motivation
• Rapport Building
Bonus:
Some clinics even report that treatment tolerance improves when therapy dogs are present—patients are more relaxed, which may reduce movement and improve the session’s accuracy and effectiveness.
