Comprehensive treatment-resistant depression care begins with a clinical evaluation and personalized plan for people whose symptoms persist after two or more antidepressant medications.
FDA-cleared BrainsWay Deep TMS uses magnetic stimulation to target mood-regulation circuits. Depression appointments take approximately 30 minutes and require no surgery, anesthesia, or recovery time.
BrainsWay Deep TMS uses patented H-Coil technology to stimulate broader, deeper neural pathways than conventional rTMS while allowing patients to resume normal activities after each outpatient session.
Theta Burst Stimulation delivers brief, targeted magnetic pulse bursts. For appropriate patients, it offers effectiveness comparable to traditional TMS with sessions lasting only a few minutes.
Swift Deep TMS is an accelerated protocol that provides multiple sessions over a shorter timeline. A comprehensive evaluation determines whether this schedule is clinically appropriate.
NeurOptimal neurofeedback provides real-time feedback that supports the brain’s natural self-regulation. It may complement broader wellness goals involving stress, sleep, focus, and emotional regulation.
Persistent depression deserves careful, individualized attention. Our team reviews your treatment history, current symptoms, psychotherapy experience, medications, and goals before recommending an appropriate approach. Deep TMS is a non-invasive procedure that directly targets brain circuits associated with depression, while neurofeedback can support self-regulation and wellness. Care is delivered in an outpatient setting, and prescribed medications can generally remain stable throughout a TMS protocol under your prescriber’s guidance.

Psychiatrist
Dr. Cheryl Dasler is a double board-certified Psychiatrist in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, serving TMS Center Centennial with a strong commitment to holistic mental health care. Following their training, they spent 10 years working within a community mental health center supporting low-income and indigent families, gaining deep insight into diverse patient needs. They went on to complete additional training in Functional Medicine, with the goal of offering patients greater insight into the physical factors contributing to their symptoms, as well as training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, which they encourage as a healing technique alongside medication management. Dr. Dasler is passionate about treating depression and ADHD, utilizing medication together with skill-building in their sessions to help patients maximize their potential. Their extensive experience also includes treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and OCD, and they are a strong advocate for TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) as an effective non-medicative approach. Believing firmly in the mind-body connection, Dr. Dasler strives to address both aspects to deliver truly holistic, patient-centered care. Patients will find them a warm, compassionate provider who genuinely listens and works in partnership with them to find an effective treatment plan, while remaining sensitive to financial or insurance coverage factors that may impact care. They serve individuals throughout the Denver and Centennial communities.

Coping with treatment-resistant depression often requires a coordinated plan rather than trying to manage symptoms alone. Keep regular appointments with your prescribing clinician and therapist, follow a consistent sleep and meal routine, limit alcohol or substances that can worsen mood, and involve trusted supports when possible. Track mood changes, energy, and side effects so your care team can make informed recommendations. If you have thoughts of self-harm, seek immediate crisis support or emergency care.
